I celebrated July 4th recently the best way I could, by watching a bunch of stuff blow up. And I tell ya, if you’re looking for explosions, look no further. They must destroy 30 full city blocks before the plot even enters the equation. When I first saw the previews for this latest movie in the Terminator series, I rolled my eyes so far into the back of my head that I suffered a mild concussion, so needless to say, I didn’t got into this movie expecting much. I ended up getting a little more then I expected, which was enough to keep me well entertained, but not enough to recommend it to everyone. There are a few twists to the original plot, but not as many as I would have liked. The acting is just as stilted as it ever was, but without the interesting plot to make it excusable. However, I don’t regret seeing it, and if you’re looking for a good action movie, this is a good one, but don’t expect too much more.
