So I’ve been going through my music library (8059 songs currently) in alphabetical order, and I thought it would be fun to do a random top ten thing again. One thing I have noticed from going through the library, though, is that I sure remember some bands being a lot better when I was younger. Like for instance, I listened through the bands Gravity Kills and Helmet and thought “Man, I remember these bands being a lot better.” Just part of getting older I guess. Do you think people who went through their prime in the 80’s thinks that about every single song from then?
Anyway, here’s the top ten songs I get when I hit random on my iPod right now:
1. Into the Sunlight(score) – Hunchback of Notre Dame soundtrack
– well, start right off with something obscure
2. E Shanti – Bela Fleck & the Flecktones – Left of Cool
3. Living in Danger – Ace of Base – The Sign
4. Man in the Mirror – Michael Jackson – Bad
5. March of the Celts – Enya – Celts
6. Voodoo Lady – Live – The Distance to Here
7. Way Down Yonder in New Orleans – Louis Armstrong – Greatest Hits
8. Toothless People – Weird Al Yankovic – Polka Party!
9. You Never Know – Dave Matthews Band – The Gorge Disc 1
10. Wish You Were Here – Incubus – Morning View
Well, quite the list. Bela Fleck, Dave Matthews, Weird Al, I think we got all the bases covered. Ace of Base covered too. Doo doo tish.
