I only wish we could have gotten him to shut up about a year ago…
agreed
So it’s ok for him to call for the death of someone he doesn’t like, but it’s satanic when Muslims call for the death of those that they don’t like (and who attack them)?
“These people are crazed fanatics.” . . . and so are you, Pat.
“The goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen whether you like it or not, is world domination.” . . . and the goal of the US government right now, whether you admit it or not, seems to be sadly the same.
Well said, Andrew.
There is a difference between jihad and misguided imperialism. But this comment isn’t about that.
The problem I have with Pat Robertson’s comments is that they lack a spirit of Christian love and a compassion for those currently living outside of God’s will. His off-the-cuff speeches should serve not primarily as an embarrassment to us, but as a reminder to all of us that we will have to give account for every careless word we speak (Matthew 12:36).
“Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.” (Colossians 4:5-6)
That last comment is from me…I used an alias by accident. But I believe in owning up to your words, so there you go.
