I wonder if those who don’t believe in destiny are a lot happier.

I don’t believe in destiny. I believe in a God Who is intimately involved with His creation, Who knows everything, and Who works all things out for the good of His children and for His glory (and the two happen to be the same). It doesn’t always make me “happier,” per se, but when I focus on it and stop imagining that if I ran the universe somehow that would be fun for me, I am comforted. (If I ran the universe, I would probably be waaaay more miserable than I’ve ever been.)

Did you mean “destiny” or “dentistry”?
